A health and beauty retreat in Newport town centre has had a facelift of its own this year, with a new owner, a new look and a new range of therapies.
Zen Spa was taken over in February by working mum Claire Frampton, who had previously been operating independently for a number of years, from her conservatory at home.
The move into her new spacious premises in St James Street means that she has now been able to expand the range of services on offer, with three airy treatment rooms, three smaller rooms and two waiting areas.
Claire, who trained in beauty therapy from the age of 17, does facials, manicures and pedicures and lash extensions, whilst her two new therapists Laurie and Stacey can offer a range of relaxing and reviving hands-on treatments including hot stone therapy and Indian head massage.
After lockdowns and restrictions, clients are cautiously venturing back to salon treatments, and while bookings build up again, the opening hours at the spa are slightly reduced.
