Despite the name, the Island’s Young Farmers Club is for everyone. You don’t need to come from a farming background to be part of the club – it’s enough just to have an appreciation of the countryside, and an interest in agriculture, animals or rural activities.

Membership is open to 10-28 year olds, and meetings are held twice a month. The club is led by young people, for young people, and is great for meeting new people, making new friends, and learning more about rural life, all while having fun.

The club has both a Facebook page ‘Isle of Wight Young Farmers Club’ and an Instagram account @isleofwightYFC, which are used to let members know of upcoming meetings, and post photos of everything they get up to.

It also allows current members, and potential new ones, to make contact if they have questions, so feel free to drop them a message.

Alternatively, you can look out for the Young Farmers Club stand at the County Show in July Saturday 8 and Sunday 9, after the bale roll, to have a chat, ask questions, and sign up as a member.
