Maritime training provider and youth charity UKSA is on the lookout for a whopping 40 watersports and outdoor enthusiasts to join its activity team in Cowes from March 2023.

As well as qualified instructors, UKSA is also looking for adaptable, dependable and sociable people. They may have few or no qualifications and experience – but who do have a love for the great outdoors. Positions are available for Watersports Instructors, Senior Training Instructors and Activity Leads. The Island-based company has jobs for all levels of experience and will provide in-house training for any newbie activity leads.

Demand for qualified instructors is at an all-time high at holiday destinations worldwide. UKSA has funding in place to train six Isle of Wight based students. They will become RYA qualified multi-disciplined instructors in the space of just 12 weeks. And, subject to a successful interview, graduates of this course have the opportunity to kickstart their new career by spending their first season in the Solent, working for UKSA.

Chris Frisby, director of training and operations at UKSA said: “This is the opportunity of a lifetime for young Islanders who want to work in watersports but can’t afford the initial training. These spaces are sure to be popular so I urge anyone interested not to delay getting in touch with us.”
