A small business start-up that launched just as the pandemic struck in spring 2020 has defied all the odds and gone from strength to strength, thanks to positive word-of-mouth recommendations.

Ian Bradbury decided to go solo with his specialist shed supply business just as lockdown was introduced.  Not the best of timing, but it allowed him to start off small, get the company name out, and steadily expand week by week and month by month.

Now based close to central Newport, Bradbury Sheds caters for customers  requiring a whole range timber-framed garden buildings, from small builds of 4ft x 6ft right up to huge structures of 40ft plus.

Ian started in the trade 17 years ago as a youngster, and worked for another Island company for over 12 years.  Now he has a workshop team who produce the builds, all made by hand with top quality, durable materials, and a site team who erect and complete them to a high standard and quality finish.

The range of builds covers everything from a humble potting shed up to a garage, gym or office space, and even fully functional cabin for accommodation.

As he approaches his third year in business next April, Ian says:  “By then we hope to be offering a few more options such as a budget range, to sell alongside our bespoke range and cater to everyone’s budget”.
