Island DJ Tony Martin’s iconic DECADeANCE returned to Cowes Yacht Haven last November for a lively Jubilee-themed party.

In a blaze of brightly-coloured flags, bunting, balloons and red, white and blue confetti cannons, the party – which had been planned long before the passing of the nation’s beloved Queen – was a fitting double celebration of 70 years of the late monarch’s reign and also 70 years since the pop music charts began.

Featuring the biggest Number One hits from every year of every decade, the event had the dance floor packed from start to finish. As well as the music, there was a fun casino, photo booth, a roving photographer, the decadent hourly prize draw and face painters. The 400-plus happy party goers embraced the celebratory theme with a colourful mix of outfits to make for yet another decadent smash and raise a grand total of £8,100 for the Mountbatten charity. This takes the total raised since it began in 2009 to an amazing £93,000.

Party lovers are now eagerly looking forward to November this year for the next instalment which will help achieve the big £100,000 target.
