Proud sponsor of the Under 25 Trophy at this year’s Cowes Week was the Island-based company Montgomery Estate Planning, who declared after the event that it had been “great” to meet the young competing sailors and share in their enthusiasm for the racing.
Winners of the Under 25 Trophy were Wootton triplets Charlie, Harry and Tom White, sailing in the Squib class, and extremely proud to have won again in ‘Kestrel’. With some great sailing against tough competition and weather conditions, the Island-based three-man family crew managed to retain their 2022 title.
Montgomery Estate Planning was also pleased to have been part of the presentation for the Cowes Week Youth Trophy, which went to Christopher-Joel Frederick, a leading figure with the Greig City Academy’s Scaramouche Youth Sailing Project.
Cowes Week is always popular with young competitors, and racing for the U25 Trophy gives them a unique opportunity to compete on equal terms with sailors of all ages and abilities – from club to Olympic sailors.
