This month sees the opening by Ryde School of its new Westhill Nursery – the perfect starting point for a child’s educational journey.

Open for 47 weeks of the year between 8am and 6pm, the new nursery provision on West Street offers individual, gentle care in a beautifully-restored Victorian villa within the grounds of Ryde School.

It is run by a fully qualified team, and children can join this nurturing, social environment for flexible hours, with a minimum of two sessions a week.

An independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 to 18, Ryde School with Upper Chine is set in over 17 acres of grounds overlooking the sea, and has been educating pupils since 1921.  A Round Square and IB World School, it offers excellent academic teaching as well as encouraging an independent attitude in pupils.

Boarding provision is also available, with full, weekly and flexi boarding options for pupils from the age of 10, in two boarding houses in the school grounds. Breakfast, supper clubs and school buses across the Island are also provided to help families organise busy domestic lives.

The school’s next Open Morning is scheduled for Saturday 7 October from 10am, offering parents an opportunity to see first-hand what Ryde has to offer for Nursery, Pre-Prep, Prep, Senior Years and  Sixth Form.  Academic, sport, arts and sailing scholarships and bursaries are available for entry into Years 7, 9 and the Sixth Form.
