Nothing says ‘welcome’ to your Christmas visitors quite like a traditional door wreath – and the team of florists at Bembridge Flower Shop will be pulling out all the stops to meet the demand for these lovely festive garlands.

To reflect its reputation for bespoke natural designs and use of native materials, the shop is offering “Eco wreaths”, which are designed on a traditional base of wire and moss rather than unnatural floral foam.

Ellie Tuffrey, who runs the friendly, family-focused business with her mum Julie, sister Lucy, dad Alan and regular florist Chris, says the eco wreaths are hard work and take much longer to prepare – but the result is a much longer-lasting and natural-looking end product.

She and the team use hardy foliage – some of it locally-sourced – along with berries, dried fruits and some dried flowers, to create stunning wreaths that have been known to last through to February.  Prices range from £45 to £65.

Some customers are also opting to make their own wreaths, almost completely booking up the workshops that are also being offered by the shop.
