The hugely successful food trade exhibition that’s been running on the Island since 2006 is planning a bigger and better show than ever for 2020 – and at a new venue.

The Medina Food Show takes place at the Island Riding Centre on March 12th, after its regular venue for the past 14 years, Newport Football Club, closed for redevelopment works.

With over 90 stands ranging from specialist bread companies to quirky new food suppliers, the show has always proved popular with a wide range of local visitors, from hoteliers and pub landlords, to nursing homes and clubs.

Steve Ross, Managing Director of Medina Foods says suppliers will be coming from across the country to showcase their products, and unveil many brand new ones. Customers will be able to see and try the products, plan their menus for the new season, and place orders on the day  for delivery a month or so later if required – and at greatly discounted show prices for one day only!

He says attending the food show is a must for any local organisation or company that prepares, cooks or supplies food commercially, with a great opportunity to meet suppliers from around the country, grab menu ideas and catch up with the latest food trends.

The show is free to attend and no booking is required – but as it’s for one day only, it’s a good idea to mark it on the calendar now.

Steve recommends the show as a great day out for head chefs, with a chance to speak directly to suppliers and ask for specialist advice on a range of food products and new ways to use them.

The event takes place Thursday March 12th at the Island Riding Centre, Staplers Rd, Newport PO30 2NB, 8am to 7pm, with parking available.
