Summer is about to sizzle and hotels and private homes have been rolling back the covers from their swimming pools in eager anticipation.
But of course there is nothing worse, particularly for hotels packed full of eager holidaymakers, to suddenly discover a problem. If that becomes the worst case scenario then thankfully swimming pool specialists R. W. Eccott and Sons are now on call seven days a week.
Not only do the Lake-based company design, construct, maintain and repair swimming pools, they now provide an emergency service Islandwide through ‘Blackberry’ where they can be contacted Monday through to Sunday from 9.00am to 5.00pm on 07890-548128 either by calling, texting or emailing.
Managing director Roy Eccott has been in the trade for over 50 years; and the company under its present name have been trading since the mid-1980s. Roy, a plasterer by trade, decided to set up his own company to build pools, and has subsequently become a proven pool specialist.
Expansion now means R.W. Eccott and Sons showroom caters for all manner of pool related items, including saunas, wet rooms, steam rooms, chemicals and accessories.
Office manager Martin Eccott said: “We have been stocking up ready for the summer, and have increased our stock of accessories. For example we can now provide booster seats for children to use in hot tubs, as well as back and head rests. And if someone comes in to ask for something we haven’t got in stock, then we will do our best to get it for them.”
The company also specialises in Catalina Hot Tubs, with many types available to suit with competitive prices. Martin added: “We can also, where possible, service non-Catalina hot tubs, but sometimes there can be problems when people have bought off the internet and parts are virtually impossible to obtain – so be careful. Instead come to a specialist!”
